ABOUT US
Fort Worth Community Cinema is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building community through the power of film, storytelling, and creative expression. Our mission is to make cinema accessible to all by offering free and low-cost screenings, public programming, and opportunities for local artists, filmmakers, and small businesses to share their work.

Founded as a grassroots effort, Fort Worth Community Cinema has hosted consistent monthly events for over three years, pairing local vendor markets with public film screenings that highlight independent, classic, and culturally significant films. These events serve as inclusive, inter-generational gathering spaces that foster connection, creativity, and dialogue among diverse audiences.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our goals include:
- Providing educational and cultural programming through film screenings, artist talks, and workshops that deepen public understanding of film, storytelling, and media literacy.
- Supporting local and underrepresented filmmakers by offering platforms for exhibition, networking, and community engagement.
- Creating equitable access to the arts by removing financial and social barriers to participation in cultural events.
- Strengthening the local creative economy by connecting small businesses, artists, and vendors with the wider community.
We believe that movies are a uniquely powerful tool for connection and learning. Through intentional, community-first programming, Fort Worth Community Cinema aims to inspire dialogue, amplify voices, and cultivate a more inclusive cultural landscape in Fort Worth and beyond.
