ABOUT THE REEL HOUSE FOUNDATION

Founded in 2015 after a community Mystery Movie Mini-thon, the Reel House Foundation harnesses the power of cinema to inspire, educate, and unite Fort Worth by building a vibrant local film community and expanding access to meaningful cinematic experiences for underserved youth. Through partnerships with local children’s organizations, the Foundation hosts regular film events that spark discussion, empathy, and critical thinking, while its Fort Worth Film Club—launched in 2022—offers free monthly public screenings and moderated discussions that celebrate culturally and locally significant films. By championing diverse stories and addressing the lack of repertory and art-house cinema in the city, the Reel House Foundation fills a vital cultural gap and fosters a lifelong love of film for audiences of all ages.
